Hiking to Bomber Mountain in Wyoming’s Bighorn Mountain Range is a serious undertaking. The round trip is 24 miles (36 km) and took me 14 hours. There was the threat of lightning and rain on the peak where the B-17 crashed in 1943.
This is a historic site. Please do not remove anything, as many men lost their lives at this site.
To learn more about Bomber Mountain, visit the museum in Buffalo, WY.
