GreenlandA massive extension to Denmark, Greenland is 1/3 the size of Australia and only has 50,000 inhabitants.
Mostly covered by an eons-old ice cap, Greenland is on the fuzzy edge of tourism. The UNESCO Disco Bay with the
Ilulissat Icefjord icebergs from Jakobshavn Isbrae glacier, the most productive in the northern hemisphere, is the number
one tourist draw to the mighty island of Greenland. Another interesting draw to Greenland is the Arctic Circle
Trail. This trail is normally traversed in the summer, though there are some who take a big risk and travel it
in early fall. The Arctic Circle Race, the world's toughest ski race, follows this same path in
March. This trail is the basis of these photograph galleries.
