Asilah
Located on the northwest coast of Morocco, this small fishing
village is a blend of Morocco and Spain with a whitewashed
medina and Portuguese-designed defenses from the 16th
century. This relaxed town resembles many places
in Greece with less tourists and more artists than its busy
neighbor to the north, Tangier. The only comfortable
beach is Paradise Beach a few miles to the north. Winds
constantly whip through Asilah, raising the sand off the
unprotected beaches and pelting beach goers.
